I knew I wanted a marble bath. I was inspired by the marble baths when on a recent trip to Italy. I knew my renovation needed to embrace a similar design. I did a fair amount of hunting, researching and dreaming. Eventually, I visited New York Stone on West 21st, and there it was, Calacatta Cielo Marble imported from Italy, boasting bold and beautiful striations in shades of Azule, sky blue, carmel, gray and brown! After much conversation with the owner of New York Stone, I learned that in 30 years of the marble business, he had never seen a slab with these colors. That was it for me, sold!
