Wall Length Velvet Bed with Built-In Bedside Tables
The primary bedroom is an odd shaped room with impossible angles and edges. We designed the head board and bedside tables to lay on the angle of the wall with the bed projected into the room – the idea was to fill the room with softness, curves and texture.
Ombre Kidney Shaped Desk
We designed this curved desk in a kidney shape with column legs to nestle into the windowed corner with killer views. The legs are stained in an ombre finish to add visual interest and play off the sunsets seen from the room’s oversized windows.
Oak Dining Table with Brass Inlay and Legs
We designed this over-sized charcoal-stained solid oak dining table with a brass stripe inlay and brass legs to be the focal point of an art-inspired dining room.
Walnut Dry Bar Cabinet
We designed this curved walnut bar cabinet with glass and mirrors to ground the dining area space, provide storage and serve as a contrasting shape among the many straight angles in the architecture.
Walnut Shelving Unit
Built in walnut shelving unit for a creative kids’ room. Our clients’ children are avid readers. We designed the shelving unit to span the entire wall, serving as both a library and home for adored objects.
Bespoke Walnut Vanity
Laurie Blumenfeld Design was invited to be a part of the Brooklyn Designer Showhouse. As part of the gut renovation, we designed a bespoke walnut vanity to anchor this jewel box powder room.
Transitional Entry Cabinet
This neutral hued cabinet with brass accents was designed to serve as a storage piece for both the foyer and dining area as well as a rail for the step down living room.
Kitchen Shelving with Two Drawers
Our clients love to cook, but their new kitchen did not offer enough storage. We designed a site specific sized wooden shelving unit with both exposed and hidden storage. A custom wood stain blends in with the existing kitchen design.
