A complete reimagining of an outdated primary bathroom, centered around personalized storage and functionality. Custom walnut cabinetry with individualized his-and-hers storage tailored to each client’s daily routine, Calacatta Turquoise marble sinks, and a terrazzo-clad shower create a refined retreat.

The design brief was simple: “Ugh, we need a new bathroom.”

Fifteen years after their last renovation, our clients were ready for a space that felt less dated and more suited to their daily lives. As we discussed how they used the bathroom, it became clear that the biggest challenge wasn’t just aesthetics. The room lacked adequate storage and wasn’t making the most of its footprint.

The design centered around creating a more personalized experience for each client. Bespoke walnut cabinetry was designed with dedicated his-and-hers medicine cabinets and customized storage tailored to each person’s unique needs and daily routine, ensuring everything had its place. Abundant drawer storage, integrated laundry hampers, and a custom linen closet brought organization and ease to the space, while a custom stain was developed for all of the millwork to create a cohesive and timeless look.

We selected Calacatta Turquoise marble for the integrated sinks and dramatic double-height backsplash, adding movement and character while maintaining a refined, timeless quality. An oversized mirror with integrated sconces enhances natural light and creates a greater sense of openness throughout the room.

In the terrazzo-clad shower, thoughtful details elevate the everyday experience. A built-in bench, integrated shelving, and convenient hooks for wet towels provide both comfort and practicality while keeping the space organized and uncluttered.

The result is a primary bathroom that feels calm, functional, and deeply personal. Every element was designed to support the routines of daily life while transforming an outdated bathroom into a space that feels contemporary, beautiful and truly functional.
